Product Description

Rumi — White Mukesh Chikankari Top

Rumi, named after the great Sufi poet of light and longing, glimmers with mukesh embroidery — a specialised form of chikankari where metallic thread or sequins are hand-stitched into the fabric, creating points of light that catch the eye like stars. Set on luminous white chanderi, this top is poetry in textile form: sheer, delicate, and radiant.

Why You'll Love It

  • Chanderi Fabric — A prized Indian silk-cotton blend with a natural sheen and gossamer drape — chanderi elevates any ensemble and makes the mukesh embroidery sparkle even more beautifully.
  • Mukesh Embroidery — Small metallic-thread motifs hand-stitched across the fabric create a constellation of glimmer — subtle enough for daywear, dazzling enough for evening occasions.
  • Crisp White Base — White chanderi with mukesh is a classic bridal and festive pairing — timeless, elegant, and universally flattering.
  • Easy-to-Style Top — Pair with a silk skirt for a festive look, churidar for a traditional finish, or wide-leg trousers for a fusion statement.
  • Heritage Craft with a Shimmer — Mukesh is one of the rarest and most specialised chikankari techniques, practiced by a small number of master artisans in Lucknow.

In Rumi, every step you take catches the light — and that, the poet would say, is exactly as it should be.

Care Instructions

  • Gentle hand wash in cold water; handle chanderi fabric with care to preserve the sheen
  • Dry flat in shade to preserve the mukesh embroidery integrity
  • Steam iron from the reverse side; avoid direct contact with the metallic embroidery

Fabric & care

Mulmul, chanderi, organza or georgette ground with hand chikankari embroidery. Cold hand wash separately, dry in shade — never wring the embroidered panels.

About the hand-embroidery

Each panel is worked by hand in Lucknow and carries slight variation — that is the hand, not a fault. We name the artisan on every garment label.
